The console runs the same reads as the CLI, server-side, against the same public
lightwalletd. info, block, mempool and
check are live; the rest answer from the feed this deploy was built from.
The data is not secret, and the CLI is free and open for exactly that reason.
The token launches on Pons v2 on Robinhood Chain. Once it has, you connect a wallet and sign a message. The server reads your balance on Robinhood Chain, and if it clears the threshold it hands back a short-lived session. Nothing is stored, nothing is charged, and no transaction is signed. The signature only proves the address is yours.
A gate on an open-source CLI reading a public network would be theatre: anyone can delete two lines. So the CLI carries no gate at all. What the token buys is the hosted side: this console, running on someone else's machine, with nothing to install.
